Waverly Mills & The Merino Co sign strategic alliance

Waverly Woolen Mills has entered in to a strategic alliance with The Merino Company, the Melbourne based textile enterprise that provides natural fibres, textile and apparel solutions from source to shop to leading retailers and consumer brands.
The alliance is expected to increase international sales opportunities for Waverly Mills and strengthen wool supply agreements with Tasmanian wool growers.
Waverly Australia Chairman Ken Davey had this to say, “The company had restructured its business earlier this year and had announced intentions to explore opportunities to expand”. “This is one of the opportunities and we are very excited”, he added.
He continued by saying, “The strategic alliance will open up new markets for Waverly via TMC's global professional team spread out across the globe. In addition we expect to improve our quality through TMC's expertise in the industry”
