From November 11th to 14th, 2008 the new edition of the Textile Machinery International Show will take place. More than 150 companies from all over the world will come together at the only technology meeting in the region.

It is the third time the Textile Machinery International Show -SIMATEX will take place at Costa Salguero Center, from November 11th to 14th, 2008. About 150 companies from several countries will exhibit their latest technological innovations for the textile sector.

The growth that the Argentinean textile industry has experienced during the last 6 years provides evidence of the positive economic situation which favours local production. This context has encouraged investment on equipment, both at spinning and knitting mills and at the garment industry.

Faced with such a growth, the organization of a show dedicated exclusively to the latest technology innovation for the textile industry becomes very important.

Ms. Andrea Lippi, show director, assures that “for this exhibition we have the support of international and national companies, as well as international organizations that contacted us in order to participate and promote the show in their countries.

All of them consider the region has endless development possibilities in a medium and long term, beyond the current situation the sector is going through”.

Since the exhibition date coincides with the presentation of the Fall-Winter yarn collections, the meeting will have a special sector called F&H where national manufacturers and international import firms related to fibres and yarn will have the opportunity to get together, complementing in this way the machinery offer for their use.

The international companies that have already confirmed their participation at SIMATEX 2008, a show that will have a 10.000 m2 exhibition surface, are: Shima Seiki, Menegatto, Fadis, Comez, Brastex, Stoll, Aloña, Mayer & Cie., Protti y Metalnox, among others.

Italy will be the most represented country, since as statistics show it is one of the main machinery suppliers, especially for knitted fabric manufacturing, fittings and finish.
