On Monday, November 10, PTA, MEG market weakened; prices lowered further; semi-dull and bright polyester chips also fell; prices of CDP and PET bottle slices also declined.
Acrylic staple fibre 1.5D × 38mm, acrylic top 3D × 102mm prices consolidated; CPL, nylon 6 chip prices continued to fall.
Polyester filament market acquired dull atmosphere, with low volumes of businesses. Offers remained barely stable, actual transaction prices were subjected to negotiation. Corporate procurement of down stream market is cautious, although there is no big inventory pressure on polyester filament sales.
Polyester filament market is not optimistic, due to lack of support from purchasing power; therefore, market outlook is expected to follow a downward trend.
All cotton yarn and rayon yarn markets moved down ward; sales of cotton yarn 32s, J40s were fair, polyester yarn 45s still saw moderate demand, it is mainly used to produce polyester-cotton lining materials, prices of all items were stable, except 50s cut down by 100 Yuan per ton.
Polyester and viscose yarn prices changed little; some products of 65/35 polyester-cotton varieties declined, 80/20 yarn 45s had small trade volume.
Polyester staple fibre price consolidated. Viscose staple fibre prices lowered its center of gravity; rayon yarn market is expected to show a downward trend in coming days.
