Government & AMITH aim to boost textile and clothing sector

Following developments in international market, the Moroccan Government and the Moroccan Association of Textiles (AMITH) have entered into an agreement to modernise textile and clothing industry.
The Textile and Clothing Emergence Plan was signed in the presence of Moroccan Prime Minister Driss Jettou, who said the agreement would provide well though strategy for the textile industry and encourage other sectors like tourism, telecommunications, housing and phosphates also.
Jettou also stated that the plan with lot of benefits and facilities would support companies' progress agenda, provide ambience that stimulates creativity and competitiveness, and promote the planning and development of export platforms that are very important in raising country's exports.
To execute the plan, three agreements between the government and various industry players were signed in the finance segment associated with customs, technical support and financing.
