Propylene market reflects the effects of global financial down turn. Prices of propylene showed a considerable fluctuation in various markets.
Most of the importing regions like Far East showed an upward trend, where as the Europe and US demonstrated a down trend, on November 19, in comparison to the previous week.
Propylene prices in Far East region:
Propylene, FOB South Korea, at US $440-$450 per ton.
Propylene prices in European region:
Propylene (polymerization level), FD Northwest Europe, at Euro 550-560 per metric ton.
Propylene (polymerization level), CIF Northwest Europe, at Euro 540-550 per metric ton.
Price in the United States:
Propylene (refining level), FAS Houston, at US cent 16.500-16.750 per lb.
