Conference on 'Global Textile Opportunities – Vision India'

The Textile Association (India), Mumbai Unit takes pleasure in announcing an International Conference on “Global Textile Opportunities – Vision India” on 16th & 17th January 2009 at Hotel InterContinental the Grand, Sahar Airport Road, Andheri (E), Mumbai – 400 059.

This Conference is supported by Office of the Textile Commissioner, Ministry of Textiles, Govt. of India and Reliance Industries Limited has kindly agreed to be the Lead Sponsor of this conference.

Global textile focus is now shifting to Asian countries i.e. Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Vietnam, etc, but still India & China are the two dominant players. There have been reports of slowing down of Chinese textile onslaught.

Indian Textile Industry should grab this opportunity and take the advantage of this situation for supplying the goods to western countries like USA & Europe. The domestic demands are also increasing and young generation from India looks for the quality as well as the brands.

Other than the conventional textiles there are many sectors where the opportunities are abundant and returns are handsome. This is the main theme of this Two-Day International Conference.

It is for the first time in many years that the top Indian Textile magnates will be sharing their views and also outline the forward path for the Indian textile industry, which will be a treat for the participants.
