A statistical report recently released by Ministry of Industry and Trade shows that in the month of August of the on going year, the import value of Vietnam from Demark touched US $16.80 million.
During the period from January to August, import turnover reached $108 million. Vietnam imported fibre, fabric and other textile materials to meet the requirement of textile and garment industry.
The country imported fabrics worth $0.298 million in August and during the past eight months, expended near about $8.23 million for importing fabrics.
Import of fibre stood at $0.293 million, in the month of August only; other textile materials worth $3.26 million were imported from Denmark.
