Each year businesses from the international textiles industry meet at the Decosit in the European capital of Brussels. Exhibitors have been presenting decorative textiles and upholstery fabrics at the trade fair for the last 30 years.

Four other trade fairs take place at the same time as the Decosit: DecoContract provides an excellent platform for commercial property, technical textiles are presented at the Decotec, creative design can be found at the Indigo and Expofil is dedicated to the theme of threads for manufacturing textiles.Over 300 companies from around the world are represented on this year's exhibitor list for the five trade fairs.

The German textile manufacturer drapilux is also presenting its new collection at DecoContract. concerto combines top-quality and functionally sophisticated taffeta fabrics with great design and colour schemes. These new items are presented as an extension to the successful Best of Hotel Collection and are thereby placed in the segment for upmarket hotel furnishings. With concerto, drapilux continues to target the development of its profile in the hospitality sector of commercial property.

The company has been developing and marketing taffeta fabrics since 2001, although recently it has increasingly turned to the development of particularly sophisticated textiles. Textiles previously represented only individually in the range are now, supplemented with new innovations, united in a single collection for the first time.

The programme comprises ten colour compositions, and each colour theme is made up of seven items: elaborately worked flat weaves as pinstripes in the section 'finely patterned plains', narrow stripes with a chenille effect, a block stripe based on drapilux-125, two fantasy stripes and one delicate barcode stripe.

The newly developed drapilux-206 serves as a 'mix-and-match' partner. Each colour theme from its colour palette is paired with two designs. In addition to the new colour palette of drapilux-206, six special colours have been developed and are offered as an option in the same way as the four colour themes. The package can be extended at any time through combination with the plain drapilux-121.

A new black-out stripe drapilux-172 is being developed as a standard product, but already contains the colourings of the new concerto collection.

The ten colour themes are divided into a standard and a special colour theme field: the standard colour scheme comprises brass/gold, terracotta, linen, rust, mocha and atlantic. Purple, denim, forest green and sahara represent the special colour themes.

The lush, predominantly dark-toned colours, enriched with light colour accents, convey the high quality of the collection. High functionality is emphasised through the excess width of 320 cm for taffeta, the advantages in handling associated with this, and through the stain-resistant finish, designed to cope with heavy stress. The fabrics are ideal for use as upholstery fabrics, for example as bedspreads.

With concerto, drapilux presents elegant and exclusive taffeta fabrics for the heavy demands of commercial property. Stylish design and good 'mix-and-match' properties, functionality and high quality – the collection fulfils all the important criteria for textiles used in upmarket hotel furnishings.
