8th Vietnam Intl Textile & Garment Industry Fair concludes successfully

The 8th Vietnam Internaional Textile and Garment Industry Fair (VTG 2008) that opened On December 11, at Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center wrapped up yesterday on a successful note.

More than 520 booths were installed for 242 enterprises participating from 15 countries and territories across the world, like China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Australia, Germany, India, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Switzerland, Turkey, UK and USA.

The product range that were exhibited here, include textile machinery, accessories and fabrics, accessories for textile machinery, chemical and dyes, auxiliary equipment, CAD/CAM/CIM systems, spinning machinery and accessories, testing equipment and controls, knitting machinery, sewing machines, sewing machines motors, shoe making machinery, ironing and steaming equipment, computer software, finishing equipment and many more.

Under the framework of the exhibition, a seminar on building an import strategy for textiles and garments, to match up with regional and international changes, was also held, in addition to talks and exchanges to find partners among domestic and foreign businesses.

Organized by Ministry of Trade-Vietnam Trade Fair and Advertising National Company, together with Paper Communication Exhibition Service and Yorkers Trade and Marketing Service Co Ltd, VTG 2008 is the most significant event in the country that focuses on apparel, fashion accessories, manufacturing and processing machinery, shoes & accessories, textiles and leather Products.
