These exhibitors of fabrics or clothing are responding to the demand from every market: from the high volume retail sector down to boutiques and designers. Buyers can indeed order very large volumes of fabric from them, made in the most modern factories in the world, but also smaller quantities which stand out as sheer luxury or the handmade product, verging on skilled artisan's work.

Note that these exhibitors who come from far away have understood the priorities of the western market, in particular the growing importance of organic fabrics and clothing which are helping to ensure protection of our planet. All this while keeping the most competitive prices in the world. Six areas of activity will especially attract buyers to Texworld, in order of ranking: cotton, wool, prints, silk, knitwear and linen. And they will be able to find some excellent manufacturers from amongst these sectors.

For instance, in the extensive “cotton” sector we should mention the Chinese Zhonghe Group whose sophisticated poplins in a very Western look will appeal to numerous buyers, the Pakistani Kohinoor Mills - a lovely range of 100% coloured cottons or blends - or the great Indian producer Alok Industries - a huge collection of pure or blended cottons, embroidered plains or prints-, a company that is setting store by sustainable development and fair trade. Next to cotton, let's not forget the denim sectors with Pakistani exhibitors like Artistic Denim Mills, US Denim or K.G.Denim from India, shirting from the Turkish specialists in yarn-dyed fabrics.

As far as wool is concerned, featured this session as lightweight wool, the Chinese dominate with their range of fabrics for top quality men's suits (cashmere and sophisticated blends), like the Nanshan Group and Indian firms like S.Kumars Nationwide (wool and cashmere blend, wool, and silk, mohair blends, linen or cotton) or the OCM group that is part of the Burlington conglomerate. Linen is also found in abundance thanks to the Chinese linen producers like Harbin Sunshine Linen Textile.

Note that these businesses from Manchuria buy their raw material from French and Belgian flax growers. Printing is big at Texworld with a wealth of offers like those from Osaka Eiko Boeki from Japan who make astonishing fabrics, able to imitate any fabric perfectly (lace, jacquards), and always demonstrating delicacy and creativity. Many Indian exhibitors specialise in silk, whether it be Ventures or Giant Silk Mills, but there are also Chinese companies like Shandong Hirun.

Where embroidery and lace are concerned, the Chinese, Indians, Thai and Japanese rival each other for creativity; to mention just the Indian company Fair Lady, whose compositions are given a fresh interpretation each season and always captivate visitors. Not forgetting the Koreans, Japanese and Taiwanese for functional textiles and the great names in viscose grouped under the auspices of Lenzing. Among the new exhibitors that allow buyers to discover new companies and their products we would mention in particular the textile branch of the Japanese conglomerate Sojitz, Sojitz Fashion, which offers fabrics based on organic cotton, linen, hemp and recycled polyester, with the benefits of the high Japanese standard for quality.
