Crude prices showed a down trend in past few months, and its effects on ethylene prices were quite severe, creating havoc on producers, who expanded their capacities when demand was on the higher side.
However, things have taken a positive turn and on December 17, ethylene price graph for most importing regions like Asia, Far East and the US showed a significant growth and the same for the European market moved down as compared to prior week.

Ethylene, CFR Northeast Asia, at US $515-$525 per metric ton. Ethylene, CFR Southeast Asia, at US $515-$525 per metric ton.
Ethylene prices in Far East region:
Ethylene, FOB South Korea, at US $435 per metric ton. Ethylene, FOB Japan, at US $435 per metric ton.
Ethylene prices in Europe:
Ethylene, FD Northwest Europe, at Euro 440-445 per metric ton. Ethylene, CIF Northwest Europe, at US $500-$510 per metric ton.
Price in the United States:
Ethylene, FAS Houston, at US cent 16.500-16.750 per pound.
