State-of-the-art machinery for production of Nonwovens

Rupali Chitnis of A.T.E. Enterprises Private Limited presented a paper on technical textiles and nonwovens at the International Conference, IIT Delhi, organised by the Department of Textile Technology, IIT Delhi and co-supported by the Ministry of Textiles and Business Co-ordination House (BCH). The presentation detailed the state-of-the-art machinery meant for production of nonwovens from cotton materials ".

Paper presentations at this three day conference were made by leading industry experts and academia on the areas of emerging trends, evaluation methods, recent innovation, developments in raw material, markets, product developments and techno economics covering technical textiles and nonwovens.

The main emphasis of the presentation was on the spunlace system for cotton. However the presentation also covered various hybrid technologies available especially from the product portfolio of the Truetzschler Nonwoven Group for various applications like medical textiles (e.g. cotton pads, wipes, disposable bed covers, surgical gowns, facemasks) geotextiles,automotive textiles, etc.
