The acrylonitrile (ACN) plant of Taekwang Industrial Company that had been shutdown for maintenance since October 6, last year resumed functioning on January 10.
Official sources from Taekwang Industrial Company informed Fibre2fashion.com, “Plant was shut down on October 6 for turnaround and was scheduled to restart on November 3; but on the back of financial turmoil, it was postponed. The plant located at Ulsan, at present has the production capacity of 250,000 mt per year.”
In the Asian region, prices of acrylonitrile this week inched higher. As propylene feedstock rates surged, CAN prices inched up to the US $850 per mt CFR mark, soaring by $30 per mt from previous week levels.
