The second project is intended to reduce the steam boilers furnace oil consumption by at least 10%. Next year will also see the start of more expansion with the acquisition of a further 12 acres of land by Textured Jersey for future growth.
With this expansion programme, the existing greige warehouse will be extended into a dyeroom with the entire knitting operation and warehousing moving to the new factory. The space left will be taken over by dyeing and finishing operations to ensure increased production of 350 t/week.
