Cotton Prices at KCA move up

Market experts observe that with the increasing demand good quality cotton are becoming rare and quality conscious buyers have started choosing out of the left overs.

On Friday, the spot rate at KCA moved another step upwards and was quoted at Rs3300 per maund with an increase of Rs25 per maund. In the local market 600 bales of Khipro sold at Rs3175; 2000 bales of Rahim yar khan at Rs3300; 1000 bales of Rajan pur at Rs3400; 600 bales of Mian Channu at Rs3275; 400 bales of Lodhran at Rs3350; 400 bales of Basti Malook at Rs3350; 400 bales of Hasil pur at Rs3300; 600 bales of Sadiqabad at Rs3200 per maund.

The spot rate at KCA on Saturday remained firm and strong at the value and the settlement declared at Rs3300 per maund with no changes. In the local market 1000 bales of upper Sindh sold at Rs3300; near about 400 bales sold at Kahror Pakka at Rs3250; 400 bales of Jalalpur sold at Rs3250; 400 bales of Ghazi Goth sold at Rs3400; 600 bales of Sadiqabad sold at Rs3200; and 600 bales of Burewala sold at Rs3000 per maund.
