Ms Phan to develop communication strategies for INVISTA brands

INVISTA, the largest spandex and nylon producer in the world and owner of many leading brands including the LYCRA fibre brand, has appointed Christine Do Phan as Marketing Communications Director for its Apparel business in Europe, Middle East and Africa (EUMEA). Christine brings extensive marketing and communications experience to the role having previously worked across Europe and Asia in the b2c, b2b and apparel ingredient industries.

Christine will be responsible for developing the European Communication strategies for brands within the INVISTA Apparel portfolio as well as managing its European Communications team. Her role will also include leadership of global branding and communications initiatives for legwear, intimate apparel and swimwear.

Having spent 12 years in the marketing industry, Christine brings in-depth marketing knowledge and experience to INVISTA as she has worked on a number of household brands during her career which span textile, automotive and healthcare industries across the globe.

Christine began her career within the textile industry where she worked at FREUDENBERG Interlining Division in several roles including Marketing Manager for Asia. From the textile industry to the auto world, Christine worked at BRIDGESTONE Europe for six years as Manager of Product Planning Consumer Products developing the Product Strategy for the brands within this portfolio.

Prior to joining INVISTA, Christine was Health Care Marketing Manager at KAZ Europe where she was responsible for managing high profile brands such as BRAUN and VICKS (under license agreements with PROCTER & GAMBLE).

Christine comments, “I am very happy to be back in the textile industry where I started my career and I am looking forward to the challenges that my new role will bring. The brands within the INVISTA portfolio have always impressed me and I am excited about working with brands such as the LYCRA fibre and helping develop and enhance their profile even further.”
