MADEIRA launches new variants of metallic colour threads

MADEIRA, known as a manufacturer of embroidery and effect threads, surprises again with interesting news: The metallic thread colour card FS SUPERTWIST has been extended by 4 completely new thread types and 83 new colours. With all in all 12 different thread types and 354 colours, MADEIRA offers to embroiderers as well as to clothing manufacturers and designers a unique choice of metallic threads for implementing creative ideas in the most various applications.

More than just traditional gold and silver: glittering or dull, thick or thin, smooth or textured, classic or antique. MADEIRA noticed in the recent past that, in addition to traditional embroidery applications, MADEIRA threads are used more and more frequently on industrial sewing machines. This trend has been considered when developing the new metallic thread colour card FS SUPERTWIST: four of the twelve thread types are sewing threads.

FS 8, FS 10 and FS 12 are intended for use on sewing machines. FS 15 is suitable for both uses on embroidery machines and on sewing machines. FS 8 and FS 12 are special highlights, as these threads are not only decorative and suitable for sewing, but also resistant to chlorine and therefore perfectly suitable for Denim applications. In addition, the new embroidery thread FS 45 is a further alternative with an excellent price/performance ratio.

In principle, all MADEIRA threads may also be used on different industrial sewing and special machines. But you have to bear in mind that the tensile strength of embroidery threads is less than that of classic sewing threads. Therefore, depending on the machine type, the needle thread has sometimes to be a genuine sewing thread, whereas a MADEIRA effect thread may be used as cover thread. MADEIRA threads are perfectly suitable for seams, hems and ornamental stitches which are intended for decorative purposes.

MADEIRA is in direct contact and exchanges ideas with designers to create innovations and to inspire new applications of embroidery and effect threads required by the fashion world in its continuous search for new possibilities and trends. MADEIRA becomes more and more involved in events where creative designers of the fashion world are the target group which makes one thing quite clear: in particular the new varieties of metallic threads have been considered as a valuable addition to the existing threads.

Customers from the fashion world and other sectors such as badge and promotion embroideries as well as industrial and safety clothing appreciate the excellent service and product quality of MADEIRA and its network of partners in more than 60 countries. Detailed information and sampling requests may be always addressed to the MADEIRA headquarters in Freiburg or to the international subsidiaries and partner companies.
