Feb '09
Seppo Parvi, born 1964, M.Sc. (Econ.), is appointed Chief Financial Officer of Ahlstrom Corporation and member of the Corporate Executive Team. It is estimated that Parvi will assume his responsibility in July 2009, at the latest. He joins Ahlstrom from M-real Corporation, where he has worked as CFO and Deputy to CEO since 2006. Prior to that, Parvi has held several senior management positions at Huhtamäki in 1993-2006, both in business management and support functions.

Ahlstrom's current CFO Jari Mäntylä will leave Ahlstrom by the end of July, at the latest, and will thereafter pursue other career opportunities. I thank Jari Mäntylä for his valuable contribution for Ahlstrom and wish him the best of success in the future.

Paula Aarnio, born 1958, M.Sc. (Eng.), is appointed Senior Vice President, Human Resources of Ahlstrom Corporation and member of the Corporate Executive Team. She will join Ahlstrom during the spring. Aarnio has been working as Executive Vice President, Human Resources at Uponor Corporation since 2004. Prior to that, she has held several senior management positions in the field of HR at Fazer Group and at Neste / Fortum Corporation.
