PTA spot prices increased slightly on Monday and MEG prices also moved higher amid adjustment. A consolidation of prices in acrylic staple fibre prices of 1.5D×38mm and acrylic top 3D×102mm prices was witnessed , while CPL, nylon 6 chips prices stayed dull.

Trade volumes in the polyester market were not large, but due to inflationary pressure of raw material cost, polyester filament markets are indicating a rising trend. Coupled with rising prices of upstream raw materials, mainstream quotation of polyester chips offered on Monday was 7100-7200 Yuan per ton. There are positive indications that the market outlook of polyester filament will show upward trend in the next few weeks.
