Mar '09
The 14th International Exhibition on Textile Machinery (SHANGHAITEX 2009) will be staged in Shanghai New International Expo Center from June 12 to 15, 2009. It is sponsored by Shangtex Holding (Group) Corporation, China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, Shanghai Sub-Council and China Chamber of International Commerce, Shanghai Chamber of Commerce and organized by Shanghai International Exhibition Co. Ltd., Shanghai Textile Technology Service and Exhibition Center, and the Adsale Exhibition Service Ltd.

Covering 100,000 sq.m, SHANGHAITEX 2009 will host 9 exhibition halls, including Hall E1-E2 for spinning, non-woven tech-textile machinery , Hall E3 for weaving machinery , Hall E4 for spare parts and accessories , Hall W1-W2 for knitting & hosiery machinery , and Halls W3,W4 and W5 for printing, dyeing & finishing machinery and textile chemical. Such scale boasts the biggest global exhibition for textile machinery and accessories in 2009 and will serve as the first purchase platform for many textile product manufacturers both at home and from abroad.

Since being launched in 1984, SHANGHAITEX has been held on 13 occasions. After over 20 years of development, SHANGHAITEX has evolved into one of the most influential professional exhibitions in Asia.

Since the second half of 2008, China's textile exporters have been influenced by the global economic recession to different extents. However, the overall textile industry maintains its advantages and the Chinese government is also promulgating a series of favourable policies to support and promote the development of textile enterprises. All these moves have in turn brought confidence to many textile machinery manufacturers from both home and abroad who believe that China is developing from just an economic giant into an economic superpower.

Meanwhile, many enterprises are taking this opportunity to expand their market shares and upgrade their products. Thanks to the full confidence in China's economy from leading textile machinery enterprises and the brand image formed in past years, SHANGHAITEX 2009 has received support and favour from many textile machinery manufacturers who regard it as the most significant platform for them to market and promote their products in 2009.

In 2009 as people are full of hope for China's economy, China's high-tech manufacturing industry has been leading the recovery. Brand exhibitions, which serve as platforms to present industrial development, are the best channel for an enterprise to showcase its growth. The organizing committee of SHANGHAITEX 2009 is working to stage a better and more efficient exhibition so that China's economic recovery will benefit both the domestic and global textile industry.
