A handicrafts exhibition 'Visithru', which will begin from March 12-15, has been organised by the National Crafts Council, Sri Lanka, and will feature handicraft products made by professional handicraft artisans from across the country.
Handicraft lovers can expect to be enthralled by some rare and traditional exhibits, passed down since generations. The artists hail from different provinces across Sri Lanka and will provide an opportunity to visitors to glimpse handicrafts from across the country in one place.
The handicraft products expected to be on display are made from cane, reed, terracotta, woven fabric and many other raw materials which are abundantly available in rural areas. The aim of the exhibition is to provide support to these handicraft artisans.
