Propylene prices continued to grow in the Far East Region for the second consecutive week. Propylene prices for FOB South Korea in Far East region rose from last week's levels of US $665-667 per ton to close at $701-706 per ton on Wednesday.
Propylene prices in European markets though fell. Propylene (polymerization level), FD Northwest Europe was quoted at €426-436 per metric ton, by falling from €436-446 per metric ton. However CIF Northwest continued to stay calm at the previous week's level of €426-436 per metric ton.
The US markets saw prices of propylene plunging to US cent 19.755-20.005 per lb from US cent 23.255-23.380 per lb in the previous week, after having grown marginally in the last week.
