Training on latest handloom technology imparted to weavers

The Directorate of Handlooms, Jharkhand has co-organised with the National Handloom Development Corporation (NHDC), a five day 'Appropriate Technology' exhibition in the capital, Ranchi, with the able support of the Union Ministry of Textiles.

The objective behind hosting the expo is to equip the handloom & handicraft craftsmen with the latest techniques and equipment, in order that, they may improve the quality of the products, which are marked through the state agency, 'Jharcraft'

The handloom weavers of Jharkhand are getting the opportunity of interacting with experts from organizations like Central Silk Board, Silk Export Promotion Council, Weavers Service Centre, who have come here with the latest in handloom technology.

Expert advice as well as training will be imparted on the latest in dyes, fabrics and machines available and will also be kept abreast with the latest trends in design and colour, which they may incorporate in their products to gain better marketability.
