Ethylene prices continue juggling in worldwide markets

Prices of ethylene as in the past few weeks, continued to play a game of snakes and ladders, either moving up or down in different markets.
Ethylene prices for CFR Northeast Asia stayed nearly stable at US $676-686 per metric ton when compared to $681-686 per metric ton in the previous week, while ethylene prices for CFR Southeast Asia fell marginally to between US $595-605 per metric ton when corresponded with $600-610 per metric ton, last Wednesday.
Ethylene prices for the Far East region, (FOB South Korea) and (FOB Japan), also maintained their ascent in the second consecutive week in growing from $630 per metric ton to $638 per metric ton, up by $8 per ton compared to the rise of $13 per metric ton, registered in the previous week.
However, ethylene prices in the European region continued their journey southwards once more for the third week running. FD Northwest Europe fell from €591-601 per metric ton to from €571-576 per metric ton, while CIF Northwest Europe nearly stayed nearly flat at US $691-696 per metric ton compared to $691-701 per metric ton.
Prices of ethylene in the US market of Houston have bounced back from a slide which had continued fro three weeks to grow to US cent 24.005-24.505 per pound from US cent 23.505-24.005 per pound on Wednesday.
