Propylene prices continued to grow in the Far East Region for the fourth consecutive week. Propylene prices for FOB South Korea rose substantially from last week's levels of US $801-806 per ton to $876-878, a gain of nearly $175 per ton in two weeks.

But a reverse trend was noticed in European markets which had either risen or stayed flat in the previous few weeks. Propylene (polymerization level), FD Northwest Europe fell considerably from €526-436 per metric ton to €422-432 per metric ton and shed the all the gains of the previous week.

CIF Northwest though fell marginally after having stayed flat for the past two weeks and slipped nominally to €407-417 per metric ton from €426-436 per ton.

The US markets also rebounded for the second consecutive week and prices of propylene rose handsomely from US cent 20.380-20.630 per lb on last Wednesday Thursday to US cent 23.005-23.255 per lb yesterday.
