It is reported that a research group set up by the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC), the Central Bank, Ministry of Commerce and other central ministries has recently been dispatched to many regions to check the implementation of stimulus economy boosting measures introduced by the central government.

The central government will send 24 more research groups from this week to fully track central investment this year. Market participants point out that the purpose of the large-scale research activities is to provide an important basis for government's macro decision-making in the next phase to deal with the financial tsunami.

From the nine major areas focused by the research groups, the real estate industry and the textile and garment industry could become the focus of further stimulus policies and can expect to receive more benefits in the future, more particularly the textile and apparel sector, more so to do with the labour intensive nature of the industry.

The 24 research groups will study nine aspects among which include; necessary measures to further expand domestic demand, progress of new central investment projects, allocation of proper usage of central funds, real estate market situation and the most important the situation in the exports sector.

Import and export sector is going to be one of the most focused areas of the research groups. They will investigate and study the impact of the gradual increase from 11 percent to 16 percent in export rebate rates implemented in the last few months, mainly on the textile and clothing sector.
