He continued by saying, “But if they develop external economies of scales, it will result in investors' disdain and a nightmare. There will be land grabbers, kidnappers, black mailers and mafia who will literally chase them for their own ulterior motives”.
“To make the ROZ viable it will need setting up of allied and backward and integration projects right from spinning to garmenting and production of accessories like cartons, Poly bags, buttons and many other products”, he observed.
“Along with all these the most important requirement will be setting up of banks and vocational training centers to impart training along with setting up of medical facilities, a pre-requisite to be able to export to the markets of the US”, he explained.
“If gas, water, electricity, telephone and internet are not provided, the ROZ will turn out to be nonstarter and even if all of these are made available, projects like these would take a very long time to start producing and exporting”, he concluded by saying.
