Trevira initiates reorganization of the company

Trevira GmbH in Bobingen have initiated the reorganization of the company. The owner "Reliance Group" have appointed the restructuring expert Elke Bäuerle as Managing Director. Mrs Bäuerle has been working for the renowned restructuring lawyers Schultze & Braun who have already successfully restructured such well-known companies like Sinn Leffers.

Trevira, a leading manufacturer of polyester fibres, among others for automotive interiors, has suffered severe losses in sales due to the global economic crisis during the last months. The company had initiated restructuring measures already last year, in view of the extent of the crisis however, these do not prove to be sufficient anymore.

Nevertheless Mrs Bäuerle expressed moderate optimism today. "It is now our task to maintain Trevira's sound and profitable core", she explains. "Trevira has good products and is fundamentally competitive." To save the company, however, is not possible without considerable cut-backs. "But we shall find the best solution, and this is what we shall fight for", Elke Bäuerle says. She emphasizes that the employees do not need to worry about payment of their salaries.

Over the next days, Mrs Bäuerle will make herself acquainted with the situation and will examine together with her team, the available options. She asked for the understanding that she is not able to make any further statements at this moment. She promised, however, to inform employees and public next week.
