Carcoustics Belgium N.V. (Carcoustics) has sold its Mexican Textile Plant (CarMex) to HP Pelzer Holding GmbH (HP Pelzer). CarMex is a leading producer in Mexico for automotive textile components including non-woven carpets and wheelhouse liners. Its operations are located in Los Reyes Acozac.
The transaction allows Carcoustics and HP Pelzer to focus further on their individual strategies. Carcoustics opened a new plant in 2008 in Queretaro, Mexico. This is focused on Carcoustics future technologies and will continue to operate as an integrated partner plant within the Carcoustics Group. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed from both parties.
