This embroidery thread has especially high tensile strength and is very resistant to abrasion. POLY FIRE is certified according to Ökotex Standard 100 (Product class 1), is washable up to 95°C and is chlorine–fast. To guarantee a high level of safety, you have to use POLY FIRE as bobbin thread as well. It is available in 27 popular colours, on miniking cones of 1000m each. It is ideal for fire-fighters' uniforms, laboratory coats and all kinds of clothing that may come into contact with open flames.
Expert Discussions Even so the discussions about the current financial and economical crisis seemed to be omnipresent at the IMB 2009, the conversations at the booth of the GUNOLD GmbH reflected a rather positive picture of the embroidery segment. The embroidery order levels seem to be rather satisfactory and many production facilities are used to capacity. Accordingly, the demand for embroidery supplies like threads, stabilisers, foils remains on a reasonable level. The slight decline in trade show visitors compared to the IBM in 2006 was compensated by the high expertise of the attendees.
Stephan Gunold concludes: ”It appears that special trade shows for the embroidery and screen printing industries which are held in many countries now, attract a lot of visitors. Therefore it is getting more and more difficult for the big, international shows like the IMB to attract every member of the industry. Nonetheless, we are very pleased with the tenor of the show and I think IBM is a valuable platform for our industry.”
