One-Stop Handicraft Street: Booster to current economic situation

The One-Stop Handicraft Street was officially opened at Star City North by Complex A. C. Management Sdn Bhd. This Star City North was previously known as Kompleks Asia City (KAC).
This Handicraft Street has been opened to provide opportunities to the local and foreign manufacturers of traditional and handicraft products to display and sell as well as to the visitors of the city to buy, all under one roof.
Traditional handicraft manufacturers from the Asian countries like Philippines, Indonesia, Thailand and China will also operate stalls here along with the local manufacturers. This handicraft street would be complementing the upcoming hotels in Asia City, said the management's administration and marketing manager Doris Tan.
She added that these products reveal the origins and the cultural values of the local people, because of which they soon will become country's ambassadors. These are the products which are mostly made by hands by the different ethnic groups.
Small local entrepreneurs will also be benefited due to this One-Stop Handicraft Street, which will provide them good opportunities to venture into businesses, especially with the special low rentals offered by the complex management, added Doris Tan.
As this One-Stop Handicraft Street will be helping lower-income families to invest and improve their living standard, this will act as a booster to the current challenging economic environment, she believes.
