Among participants of the discussion was Guntis Strazds, a president of the Association of Textile & Clothing Industry, Linas Lasiauskas, a president of Lithuanian Apparel & Textile Industry Association (LATIA), Barbaros Tuna Erdem,a counsellor of Turkish Embassy in Latvia, Igor Nazaruk, a counsellor of Belarusian Embassy, Evgeny Tikhonov, a counsellor of Russian Emabassy, André Villers, a counsellor of the Royal Embassy of Belgium, Giancarlo Albano, a head of I.C.E. Representative Office in Latvia. All in all, discussion gathered 16 officials of different diplomatic ranks from Poland, Russia, the Netherlands, Uzbekistan, Belarus and the Czech Republic, as well as more than 40 entrepreneurs and textile industry experts from all three Baltic countries.

Following the discussion diplomatic officials & entrepreneurs admitted the importance of information exchange and new contacts in current economic situation, and urged organisers to continue organising of such discussion also in future. Several participants of the discussion have already started negotiations on launching particular joint projects and starting promotion campaign of their products in Belgium. “Intertextil Balticum 2009” offered a very special novelty – a show of wedding gowns usually regarded as the most brilliant achievement of every designer and the most sought-after part of every designer show. The display of wedding gowns and a spectacular wedding gowns show in Kipsala gathered Latvia's leading bridal boutiques and service agencies .Brides, grooms and wedding guests had an opportunity to choose among a diversity of magnificent dresses, tuxedos and accessories, and will give their advice and useful tips on organising a wedding ceremony and the following party.

The show of wedding gowns introduced the latest 2009 bridal fashion collections: Stevies Gowns's exclusive and chic dresses to suit every taste, bridal fashion from the French bridal brands MIRELLA and ETS CLAUDE HERVÉ, the Spanish MODEL NOVIAS and the popular in Europe Belarusian brand PAPILIO, conventional, unconventional and even quite extravagant wedding attire from France, Spain, Great Britain, the USA, Turkey, Poland, Italy, Greece and Australia. The show also presented wedding gowns and dresses created by Latvian designers. The extensive assortment will suit all – romantic, classical and even avant-garde tastes.
