Govt not responsive to critical situation – Textile body chief

He concluded by saying, “There is no logical explanation provided by the Indian exporters about their low prices and unusual and non-proportional growth of export quantities to Peru, while despite Peruvian textile companies having raised their point of concerns and explained their point of view, the Peruvian government has not done anything to redress their grievances”.
Next we asked him about their expectations from their government, to which he said, “We are expecting that Peruvian Government will notice that textile and garments industry is a strategic sector for our development and it is necessary to implement measures that guarantee a loyal commerce and fair competition and in conclusion, first we need the political will and decision to firmly stop unfair competition and then we need to discuss together about development that will be permanent and stand the test of time”.
