An opening day reception, celebrating the newly refined At Home division, has been added to the New York International Gift Fair (NYIGF) summer 2009 event calendar. The At Home Welcome Reception will take place at Passenger Ship Terminal Pier 94 on Saturday, August 15, from 5:00 - 6:00 pm, on the exhibit floor.

All New York market participants are invited to enjoy cocktails, compliments of NYIGF, while browsing At Home's comprehensive collection of hard lines - from contemporary to traditional and indoor to outdoor - for the home. (NOTE: A schedule of NYIGF social and networking events follows.)

"We're delighted to welcome home furnishings retailers and suppliers to NYIGF," said Dorothy Belshaw, NYIGF director and GLM senior vice president. "The home furnishings category has always been a pivotal feature of the NYIGF - showcasing leading design talent across a broad spectrum of home products and attracting key retailers and designers. This reception is just one way of saying 'thank you' to our customers."

This summer, NYIGF will consolidate hard lines for the home within At Home at Pier 94, offering buyers an "under-one-roof" showcase of more than 220 leading and emerging furniture, floor coverings, wall art, lighting and decorative accessories suppliers.

Presented as one of eight NYIGF divisions, At Home offers buyers the benefit of shopping a depth of home furnishings and accessories resources, along with a breadth of complementary gift and lifestyle merchandise presented by NYIGF's 2,900 exhibiting companies.

At Home opens on Saturday, August 15, and runs through Wednesday, August 19, at Passenger Ship Terminal Pier 94 in New York City. Show hours are 9:00 am - 6:00 pm daily, except Wednesday, August 19, when At Home closes at 3:00 pm.
