World of Textile Processing, IMB to be held in November 2010

World of Textile Processing – exhibitors are eagerly looking forward to the IMB Forum 2010 – Information Technology for the Textile Processing and Apparel Industry. The preparations for this event are currently in full swing. However, the IMB Forum has been moved from May to November 2010, in response to the requests of suppliers and buyers from the sector.

In anticipation of a global economic upturn and with an expanded event concept, the event can thus more effectively take advantage of the need for investment and help to boost demand. The new dates are 10th and 11th November 2010.

The IMB Forum covers almost the entire spectrum of interfaces with the trade by offering a wide range of IT products and services for the textile processing industry. The exhibitors present practice-oriented solutions along the entire textile value chain. Although the products on offer from IT and systems suppliers are becoming more and more industry-specific, the growing ramifications of the supply chain and the requirement to flexibly integrate new and additional processes will continue to create problems, as these are inherent in the system. The IMB Forum is therefore the ideal business platform for promoting direct dialogue between users and suppliers of IT solutions for clothing production and the processing of textiles and flexible materials.

With the IMB Forum, Koelnmesse GmbH is confirming its role as an international hub and marketplace — a role which it also occupies thanks to IMB, the centre for the global textile processing network, located in the heart of Europe. "From our point of view, the IMB Forum has established itself as a fixed point in our sector.

The event offers a high-level specialist audience the opportunity to keep abreast of the most important new developments on the market. The IMB Forum is the perfect supplement to IMB – World of Textile Processing – in May 2012, as this special event for information technology corresponds to the fast development cycles of the sector," says Udo Traeger, Vice President Furniture, Interior Design & Textiles at Koelnmesse.
