Propylene prices flare up in Asia & Europe, fall back in US

Propylene prices in the Far East region, which had risen on the previous Wednesday, continued to shoot up for the fifth week consecutive week, yesterday. FOB South Korea inched up from US $965-967 per ton to $980-982 per ton.
Prices of Propylene (polymerization level), FD Northwest Europe and CIF Northwest too moved in the northwards direction and shot up from €640-650 and €630-640 per metric ton to €660-670 per metric ton and €650-660 per metric ton respectively.
Propylene prices in the US markets, which had moved marginally on last Wednesday, once again fell back from US cent 36.130-36.380 per lb to US cent 35.005-35.255 per lb on July 8.
