DirecTwist integrates capability of different twisting machines

Turkish textile machinery manufacturer Agteks Ltd., the innovator of the well known DirecTwist cone to cone multi-function twisting machine and Intelliwinder unravelling machine for flat knitted fabrics, has once again devloped a unique technology for winding and twisting.
Fibre2fashion spoke exclusively to Mr Masuk Balta, Sales Manager at Agteks who explained by saying, “DirecTwist-2C is designed especially for technical textile producers to give them opportunity to create new and unique yarns for their own use. In this respect we designed DirecTwist-2C so as to integrate the capabilities of different twisting machines on one machine”.
Divulging more details, he said, “DirecTwist is an all-in-one machine and you can make all twists of two-for-one, hollow spindle and ring twisting on the same DirecTwist machine and other than that you can make cabling and covering type of twisting at the same time, along with which one does not need to invest in a doubling machine and it can twist up to 8 plies of yarn”.
Explaining more of the features he said, “You don't need to re-wind the yarn since the yarn is waxed and mostly ready to use after twisting as it is operating cone-to-cone and the most important is that one does not need to change any gears or belts to change the twisting parameters like twist/meter or S and Z twisting, as all are done via 3 button control panel”.
“Investment on a elastane yarn (lycra) twisting machine is not needed as just with an optional elastane yarn feeding device the machine gains the capability of twisting lycra and it also has the capability of twisting different types of yarn like synthetic yarns, spun yarns, metallic fibers, etc, which gives opportunity to create exclusive yarns and use the machine for R&D in technical textiles”, he concluded by saying.
