September may witness tight trends in Naphtha supply

The industry reported on Monday, that supply of naphtha in Northeast Asia might witness tight trends in September, due to slowdown in imports from North-West Europe (NWE), which is a major change from previous expectations.
It is said that arbitrage spread of naphtha between Europe and Asia fell to +1.5 USD per ton last week, the lowest level this year.
As long-term customers cancelled orders, resulting in an oversupply of naphtha in the Middle East, shipments to Asia may increase, but it cannot sufficiently ease the tight supply situation in Asia, traders said.
