PTA futures down on Tuesday

Zhengzhou PTA futures fell on Tuesday, dragged down by upstream crude oil and PX. Major contracts opened at 8,086 Yuan per ton and during the say ranged between high point of 8,128 and the low point of 7,882.
It finally closed at 7,942 Yuan per ton, down 144 points from the previous day. On August 17, Asian PX fell US $45 to close $1,075 per ton FOB South Korea and European PX too fell by $45 to close at $975 per ton FOB Rotterdam.
ON Monday, Asian benzene also fell by $30 to close at $810-815 per ton FOB Korea. Prices of benzene in the European market too followed suit to fall by $40 to close at $935 per ton, FOB Rotterdam.
The PTA price in China Fiber Price Index fell 100 Yuan to 8,000 Yuan per ton.
