PTA spot imports fall sharply

PTA spot imports have fallen sharply in recent times and market offers too have declined to about US $890-895 per ton, but received counter offers from downstream sector at $880-885 per ton.
Sellers are adopting a stronger wait-and-watch attitude, due to which market trade is light. In East China market, domestic PTA prices continued to decline and market offers were quoting at 7,550-7,600 Yuan per ton.
Buyers were however, negotiating at 7,500-7,550 Yuan per ton, bur no serious counter offers were put up as intent to purchase was low.
