Propylene prices in the Far East region have been falling since the last two Wednesday's, continued to do on September 2 too, to plunge by US $30 per ton, when compared with those prevailing on the previous Wednesday.
FOB South Korea slid back from $1075-1077 per ton prevailing on August 26 to touch $1045-1047 per ton on September 2.
Propylene (polymerization level) for FD Northwest Europe and CIF Northwest Europe remained constant at levels prevailing on the previous Wednesday at €770-780 per metric ton and €760-770 per metric ton, respectively at closing hours, yesterday.
Propylene prices in the US market, which have been marching northwards since the last three weeks, fell marginally on September 3. It fell from US cent 52.38-52.63 per lb recorded on August 26 to US cent 52.13-52.38 per lb, yesterday.
