UNIPETROL shuts down polypropylene unit in Litvinov

UNIPETROL, a.s. announces that it would irregularly shut down its steam cracker in Litvinov for approximately 9 days starting from 19 September 2009.
The reason for the shutdown is technical issue in polypropylene unit having production effect also on polyethylene units.
We are addressing the new situation with our customers in order to minimize inconveniences as well as the financial impact that this shutdown could cause. Supplies to our customers will be covered from our inventories.
