Program helps textile sector bag awesome overseas orders

The Bureau of Foreign Trade (BOFT), which operates under the Ministry of Economic Affairs, has said that a program to help Taiwan textile manufacturers expand in overseas markets has achieved great results.
According to BOFT, as much as US $170 billion worth of business opportunities may have been realized due to this effort, which also aims to help Taiwan textile makers upgrade their operations and make value-added products.
BOFT added by saying that, the program has helped 17 local functional textile manufacturers find overseas partners, many of which are well-known foreign brands such as Kwintet, Fechheimer, Aramark, Arc, Teryx, Oakley and Eddie Bauer.
