The New York International Gift Fair(NYIGF), the nation's premier gift, home and lifestyle marketplace, has been ranked among the top tradeshows in the United States by Trade Show Executive and Tradeshow Week, two leading exposition industry trade publications.

"NYIGF is a leader among gift and home industry events, and we are proud also to be recognized among the tradeshow industry's leading events," said Dorothy Belshaw, NYIGF director and GLM, LLC senior vice president.

NYIGF was named one of Trade Show Executive's 2009 "Gold 100" honorees, based on the magazine's selection of "gold standard-setting" events within the $85 billion exposition industry. Alan Steel, GLM's Executive Vice President, accepted the honor on behalf of NYIGF at Trade Show Executive's 2009 Gold 100 Awards & Summit, in Rancho Palos Verdes, CA.

Tradeshow Week recently compiled and published its 2008 Tradeshow Week 200 list, which recognizes the 200 largest tradeshows in the United States, based on net square feet of paid exhibit space. The winter 2008 NYIGF ranked 28th on the list, with 607,062 net square feet, and the summer 2008 NYIGF ranked 30th, with 602,212 net square feet.

The New York International Gift Fair is owned and managed by GLM, LLC. NYIGF presents 2,800 exhibiting companies featuring an extraordinary breadth and depth of design-driven home fashion products and complementary giftware. Some 31,000 attendees from all 50 states and more than 85 countries worldwide are expected.

In 2010, NYIGF will run Saturday, January 30, through Thursday, February 4, and Saturday, August 14, through Thursday, August 20, at New York City's Jacob K. Javits Convention Center and Passenger Ship Terminal Pier 94.
