Texprocess establishes international trade-fair advisory Committee

The new Texprocess, the leading international trade fair for the processing of textiles and other flexible materials, now has an advisory committee. On 29 September 2009, 18 high-calibre representatives from leading international companies, associations and universities met in Frankfurt am Main to advise and support Messe Frankfurt with the concept and establishment of Texprocess. Texprocess will celebrate its premiere from 24 to 27 May 2011 in parellel with Techtextil, international trade fair for technical textiles and nonwovens. Notional sponsors are the VDMA Association of Garment and Leather Technology, which is also represented on the advisory committee.

Elgar Straub, General Manager of the VDMA Association for Garment and Leather Technology, adds: "The inaugural meeting pointed the way forward for the future. Today, the new Texprocess has a really high-calibre advisory committee on all levels: it is international, speaks for exhibitors as well as for visitors, covers the whole gamut of textile processing and incorporates representatives from institutes and associations as well as from industry. In the future we shall broaden the scope of the committee still further and will try, above all, to engage international representatives from the fields of flexible materials processing and distribution logistics.
On around 50,000 square metres of exhibition space, the new leading international trade fair will present the latest machines, plant, processes and services for making up textiles and other flexible materials. Around 500 exhibitors and 25,000 trade visitors are expected to take part in the première. The range of products covers all process stages, i.e., from designing, cutting out, CAD/CAM processing and preparation for processing, via processing technologies and procedures, to distribution and logistics, finishing, disposal, recycling and environmental protection.
Texprocess is aimed at an audience from industrial sectors of garment manufacturing, textile processing, the technical textile processing industry, wholesale and retail trades & crafts and service industries, as well as scientific and training establishments.
