New marketing campaign reinforces NYIGF's unique benefits

NYIGF's SustainAbility: design for a better world initiative will return and expand in 2010, with more stringent criteria for acceptance into the display of "green" gift and home products. Exhibitors whose products or production processes are eco-friendly, and whose business practices are socially responsible, will be considered for participation only if their products have "Zero Tolerance" for VOC; lead (for baby, children and food-related products); PVC, without recommendation for use and disposal, and unless repurposed; and aniline dyes, formaldehyde, chlorine (for textiles).NYIGF also will feature two educational sessions addressing green issues and opportunities during the winter 2010 market.
NYIGF, the nation's premier gift, home and lifestyle marketplace, runs Saturday, January 30, through Thursday, February 4, 2010. Handmade at the Javits Center and At Home at Pier 94 will run Saturday through Wednesday. All other divisions (Accent on Design, At Home featuring Home Textiles, EX·TRACTS, General Gift, Personal Accessories, Studio and Tabletop & Housewares) will run Sunday through Thursday at the Javits Center.
NYIGF's 2,800 exhibiting companies feature an extraordinary breadth and depth of design-driven home fashion products and complementary giftware, and some 31,000 attendees from all 50 states and more than 80 countries around the world are expected.
