Textile export sector set to receive bounty from US

The visiting US Secretary of State at a meeting held with representatives from the industrial sector said that the US could consider giving open markets access to its markets to the exporters from Pakistan along with creating job opportunities.
Ms Hillary Clinton was addressing representatives from major association trade bodies, including the textile sector. She said that US also wanted to make investments in Pakistan, besides extending cooperation at all levels.
Answering a question put up by a member of All Pakistan Textile Mills Association (APTMA) regarding discriminatory attitude towards the Pakistani textiles vis-à-vis, African countries, she said that, US would see to it that that the textile industry of Pakistan got its due share without facing discrimination at any level.
