| Textile Park for screen printing to set up in UP | | November 06, 2009 (India) |  |
 A decision has been taken to establish a textile park in Farukkhabad in the state of UP by Indian Industries Association, a representative body of small and medium industries.
Farukkhabad is recognized for textile printing wherein the association will set up the park in an area of 400 acres for screen printing of textiles.
Traditional textile printing is the main occupation of thousands of local families of this district.
In the projected and foremost textile park of the state, more than 200 entrepreneurs would set up their units, said Mr. Haridwari Ram, District Udyog Kendra General Manager.
Establishment of such a textile park will generate employment for around 20,000 people as well as will give a boost to the textile industry, said Mr. Ram.
