Since the Pollution Control Department in Rajasthan began cracking down on environment pollution creating fabric process plants in Bhilwara, these units are raking up huge losses, with each passing day.
As per sources, these textile units are toting up losses of Rs 150-170 million per month as they are not able to use their entire capacity due to the restrictions placed by the Pollution Control Departments.
The Minister of State for Environment and Forests of Rajasthan told PTI that, water pollution created by the fabric processing units is a major problem in Bhilwara and that his ministry was trying to find a solution to the problem.
