The Jute Diversification Promotion Centre (JPDC) has organized a three-day multipurpose jute goods fair under the Ministry of Jute and Textiles. Jute Minister Mr. Abdul Latif Siddiqui inaugurated the fair, which was held in Tangail town.

Variety of jute products including shopping bags, ladies bags, tablemats were on display at the fair.

The organizers of the fair said that, as people do not prefer using polythene bags, these days, jute-made goods are witnessing high demands. Countries such as India and Bangladesh fulfill maximum global demands for jute products.

JDPC has been organizing this fair since 2002, the year it was established, informed organizers.
